And whereas His Excellency Colonel Thomas Gore Browne, C.B., Governor of the said Colony, by warrant under his hand bearing date the 3rd day of August, 1861, did delegate to me the said John Perry Robinson, as Superintendent of the said Province of Nelson, the above recited powers.
Now, therefore, I the said John Perry Robinson, Superintendent of the said Province, in pursuance of the power and authority in me vested, do hereby appoint

to be Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Amuri in the said Province.

By his Honor JOHN PERRY ROBINSON, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, in the Colony of New Zealand, &c., &c., &c.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Provincial Elections Act, 1858," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor of the Colony to delegate to the Superintendent of any Province the power of appointing and removing Returning Officers, and also of appointing and establishing Polling Places for the election of Superintendent or of Members of the Provincial Council of such Province. And whereas His Excellency Colonel Thomas Gore Browne, C.B., Governor of the said Colony by warrant under his hand bearing the third day of August, 1861, did delegate to me the said John Perry Robinson, as Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, the above recited powers.
Now, therefore, I the said John Perry Robinson do hereby appoint the following Polling Places for the election of Superintendent of the said Province:β

Court-House, Nelson
Odd Fellows' Hall, Nelson
School House, Suburban North
School House, Suburban South
School House, Richmond
School House, (the Village) Waimea West
School House, Spring Grove
School House, Wakefield
Mr. Oliver's Station, Wangapeka
Motueka Institute
School House, Upper Moutere
School House, Lower Moutere
Court-House, Collingwood
Police Station, Slate River
School House, Motupipi
Mr. George Taylor's House, Takaka
Mr. Duppa's Woolshed, Amuri,
and the Provincial Hall, Nelson, the Principal Polling Place for the said Province.
