HIS Honour the Superintendent directs the republication, from the New Zealand Government Gazette, of the following Proclamations and Notifications.

By his Excellency Colonel THOMAS GORE BROWNE, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand, and Vice-Admiral of the same, &c., &c., &c.
IN exercise of the power in me vested for this purpose by "The Customs Regulation Act, 1858," I, Thomas Gore Browne, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint that, on and from the day of the date hereof, there shall be within the Province of Nelson a port, to be called the Port of Wairau, the limits whereof shall be as follows:β
The River Wairau, including the Opawa branch, and so far inland as the navigation of the Wairau and the Opawa respectively extends.
Given under my hand, at Auckland, this 1st day of January, 1859.

Auckland,
Kawhia,
New Plymouth,
Wanganui,
Wellington,
Napier,
Collingwood,
Nelson,
Wairau,
Lyttelton,
