IT is hereby notified that the Order of the
Justices of the Peace, dated 27th July,
1859, for the ALTERATION OF A ROAD in
the town of Beaver, Wairau District, as the
said alteration was defined in the notice of
Alfred Fell (by his attorney, James Sinclair),
dated 4th June, 1859, has been confirmed by
the Superintendent and Executive Council.

to be notified that he has appointed
MR. JAMES DAWES
District Constable, for the District of Moutere;
the appointment to date from the 1st ipstant.

APPLICATIONS for DEPASTURAGE
LICENSES, in accordance with the Land Re-
gulations of the 1st July, 1856, received by the Com-
missioner of Crown Lands, during the months of July
and August, 1859.
William Atkinson | District—The Waisu.
Commencing from Mr. James
Wilson\'s western boundary, on
the Hanmer, and bounded on
the south by the river Waiau,
and on the north and west by
the Snowy Ranges.
Estimated extent—10,000 acres.
Deposit paid—£15.
John Stanley | District—Upper Motueka.
Bounded on the south by sections,
Nos. 89 and 90, and the Wanga-
peka river; on the east by
Stanley brook; on the west by
the summit of the wooded hills
parallel to the Motueka river,
for about four miles; and on
the north by a straight line
from the end of west boundary
to the junction of Stanley
brook with the river Motueka.
Estimated extent—10,000 acres.
Deposit paid—£15.
Robert Aroa | District—The Clarence.
Bounded to the northward by the
dividing range between the
Rivers Clarence and Awatere;
southward by the River Cla-
rence; eastward by the Lake
McRae and the run applied for
by George Williams, Esq.; and
extending as far westward or
up the River Clarence as will
make ten thousand acres.
Deposit paid—£15.
Roderick McRae | District—The Clarence.
Bounded on the eastward by Mr.
Ward\'s western boundary;
northward by the River Cla-
rence; southward by the sea-
ward Kaikoras; westward as far
as will make 20,000 acres.
Deposit paid—£30.
William Robinson | District—The Clarence.
For ten thousand acres of land,
immediately east of the ten
thousand acres previously ap-
plied for by him, and bounded
on the north and east by the
Clarence, and south by Wm.
McRae\'s run; provided there
be that amount of additional
land within those boundaries
not previously applied for.
Deposit paid—£15.
Thos. Wm. Stone | District—The Grey.
Bounded on the south by the
Ahaura, or second easterly
branch of the Mawhera or
Grey; on the west by the
Grey; and running about six
miles north of the third easterly
branch of the River Grey.
Estimated extent—60,000 acres.
Deposit paid—£50.
P. R. McRae and | District—The Grey.
W. H. Bursill. | Bounded on the south by the
River Grey, commencing at a
point opposite the junction of
the Rivers Haura and Grey;
and following the course of the
Grey upwards for twenty miles,
by three miles in breadth.
Estimated extent—35,000 acres.
Deposit paid—£50.
John Rochfort and | District—The Grey.
Edward Fearon. | Bounded on the east by the
Mawhera-iti; on the west by
the Papa Roha range; com-
mencing one mile above the
junction of the Mawhera-iti
and the Mawhera, and follow-
ing the former up for fourteen
miles; and bounded on the
north and south by a line
drawn at right angles to the
general course of the River
Mawhera-iti (more defined
boundaries to be given here-
after); to comprise fifty thou-
sand acres.
Deposit paid—£50.
W. H. Bursill and | District—The Grey.
P. R. McRae. | Bounded on the north by the
third easterly branch of the
Mawhera or Grey; on the east
by a line drawn parallel to the
Grey, commencing about ten
miles along the third easterly
branch of the Grey, from the
point where it joins the Grey,
and running back to the bush
at the foot of the hill.
Estimated extent—10,000 acres.
Deposit paid—£15.
T. C. Howard. | District—The Awatere.
Bounded on the south-west by the
stream called the "Bolton;"
south-east by the River Awatere;
north-east by the White Bluff
