APPLICATIONS FOR DEPASTURAGE LICENSES, in accordance with the LAND REGULATIONS of 1st July, 1856, received by the Commissioner of Crown Lands during the Month of January, 1857.

John Ross. District—Queen Charlotte's Sound.
Boundaries—North, by Kaipura Inlet and a line drawn there-from running North to Kaipura Sound; South to North-east, by Queen Charlotte's Sound.
Estimated extent—Under twenty thousand acres.
Deposit paid—£30.
Alexander and John Bow District—Queen Charlotte's Sound.
Being the peninsula bounded by the sea, Gore Harbour, and Queen Charlotte's Sound; on the South-west, by a line drawn from Ship Cove to Anamahunga in Gore's Bay.
Estimated extent—Under ten thousand acres.
Deposit paid—£15.
William Handcock District—Upper Takaka.
Boundaries—Northward, by a line running East and West across the valley, about one mile North of the commencement of the ascent of the proposed bridle-track; Eastward and Westward, by the summit of the first line of hills; Southward, a line parallel to the Northern boundary, at a distance of about 3 miles.
The centre of the above run is called the second grass plain.
Estimated extent—Two thousand acres.
Deposit paid—£15.
J. D. Greenwood District—The Amuri.
Boundaries—Southward and Westward, by the River Wai-au-ua; Northward, a line running equidistant between the Hammer and the Wai-au-ua; North-castward, a line running at right angles to Wai-au-ua 1/4 mile to the Westward of the bridle-path from Barefell Pass.
Estimated extent—Under ten thousand acres.
Deposit paid—£15.
