GENTLEMEN—We have much pleasure in informing you that we are commanded by His Royal Highness Prince Albert to convey to you the thanks of the Royal Commissioners for the effectual assistance you have hitherto given them in carrying into effect her Majesty's gracious intentions.

We are further directed to request that you will continue the kindness by permitting the Honorary Secretaries to address you upon the subject of applications for relief, and by giving your supervision and counsel to the recipients of bounty from the Patriotic Fund.
