I HEREBY declare and proclaim that, having been duly returned Superintendent for the Province of Nelson, I have this day taken upon myself the duties of the said Office.

ELECTION OF AUDITORS UNDER THE NELSON TRUST FUNDS ACT.

WHEREAS A WRIT, under the hand of His Honour JOHN PERRY ROBINSON, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, bearing date the Thirteenth day of December instant, has been directed to me, John Poyner, Esquire, Resident Magistrate and Returning Officer for the Province of Nelson, requiring and commanding me to cause to be elected by and from amongst the voters duly qualified for that purpose, freely and indifferently and in manner and form by law prescribed, TWO PERSONS to serve as AUDITORS under the Nelson Trust Funds Act:

Now therefore I, the said John Poyner, do hereby, in pursuance of the said writ, give notice that the NOMINATION of Two Persons to serve as Auditors under the said act, will take place at noon, at the Court House, Nelson, on THURSDAY, the First day of January next; and, in the event of a Poll being demanded, the POLLING will take place on THURSDAY, the Fifteenth day of January next. The Polling to commence at Ten o'clock in the forenoon, and close at Four o'clock of the afternoon of the same day.

TENDERS will be received at this office, on or before the 20th day of December next, from persons desirous of contracting to execute certain SURVEYS in the district of the upper valley of the Takaka.

Specifications may be seen, or copies may be obtained, on application at the Survey Office, Nelson.
