Works. The appointment to date from

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs
it to be notified, that the undermentioned portions of the Waste Lands of the
Crown, within the Province of Nelson, as
hereinafter described, have been reserved
for various purposes of public utility,
viz.:—

  1. A block of land situate in the Hundred
    of Moutere, being Section No. 196,
    bounded on the north, east, and
    south by the Mud Flat, and on the
    west by Section 197, containing
    about 50 acres.
  2. A block of land situate in the Hundred
    of Wakapuaka, bounded on the north
    by the block of land numbered 1,
    previously reserved in the Suburban
    North district, as notified in the
    Government Gazette of November
    30, 1854, No. 19; on the east by
    part of Rural Section, No. 3, and
    on the south and west by waste
    lands of the Crown, containing
    about 2 acres.
  3. A block of land situate in the Wai-
    hopi district, bounded on the north
    by the Waihopi River, on the east
    and south by waste lands of the
    Crown, and on the west by the

Wairau River, containing about 300
acres.

TENDERS will be received at this Office
on or before the 19th of April next,
from persons desirous of contracting to exe-
cute the undermentioned Works, viz.:—
Building a Whale Boat for the Harbour
department.
Erecting a House for the Harbour de-
partment.
Specifications and forms of Tenders may
be seen at this Office.

DEPASTURING LICENSES.

IN addition to the Applications for
Licenses previously published, I hereby,
in accordance with the second clause of the
Regulations for Depasturing Cattle on the
Waste Lands of the Crown, give Notice,
that the undermentioned Persons have
applied for Licenses and for Runs in the
Districts specified against their names
respectively, the definitions of Boundaries,
and Plans whereof, may be seen at this
Office by all whom it may concern:—

NAME. Description and District.
G. F. Bush Hurunui District. Bounded on the

Northward by the range of Snowy
Mountains; on the Eastward by the
Sherwood Forest; on the Southward
by the Rivers Young and Hamner;
and on the Westward by the gorge
formed by the Snowy Mountains des-
cending upon the River Young. |
| William Robinson | Barefells Pass District. Bounded on
the Northward by the range of hills
the Northward of Richmond Dale;
on the Eastward by a stream called
the Ouny; on the Southward by the
summit of the Harefells Range; and
on the Westward by the River Bourn. |
| A. H. Russell | Waiopai District. Bounded on the
North East by Dr. Vickerman's
boundary, and running in a South
Easterly direction for about 10 miles,
by an average breadth of 4 miles. |
