In accordance with Clause 29 of "The Gold Fields Act, 1866," it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant Gold Mining Leases of the undermentioned blocks of land within the limits of the Pelorus Goldfields, to the following persons:—
George Crichton and Charles Williams,
under the name and style of "The Nuggetty Quartz Mining Company." Area: 16a. 2r. 0p.
George Crichton and Charles Williams,
under the name and style of "The Deep Creek Gold Mining Company." Area: 16a. 2r. 0p.

In accordance with "The Marlborough Waste Lands Act 1867 Amendment Act, 1874," I hereby notify that it is the intention of the Waste Lands Board to grant Timber Licenses to the undermentioned persons, over the Crown lands included in their respective Pastoral Leases:
Such licenses to be subject to the conditions contained in certain Regulations for issuing Timber Licenses, published in the Marlborough Gazette, No. 266, of 3rd August, 1875. Namely:—
Francis John Matthews—All the Crown land included by the lease of the Claverton Run, District of Pelorus Sound. Estimated contents, 600 acres. Term of license to be, from a day to be mentioned in the license, until the 30th June, 1885; provided that if the Pastoral Lease be sooner terminated, the license, unless previously cancelled, will then also terminate.
William Kennington—All the Crown land included by the lease of the Okaramio Run, District of Kaituna Valley. Estimated contents, 1,800 acres. Term of license to be, from a day to be mentioned in the license, until the 8th September, 1884; provided that if the Pastoral Lease be sooner terminated, the license, unless previously cancelled, will then also terminate.
