IN accordance with the provisions of Clause XXIX. of "The Gold Fields Act, 1866," it is hereby notified that, at the expiration of Two Months from this date, his Honor the Superintendent will, by virtue of the powers delegated to him in that behalf, issue Gold Mining Leases of the undermentioned Blocks of Land, within the limits of the Ravenscliff Gold Field, Queen Charlotte Sound, to the following persons:—

John Henry Dalton, under the name or style of the “Resolution Gold Mining Company.” Area: Sixteen Acres.

James Andrill, Andrew Woods, James A. Thompson, Richard Nicholls, Samuel Swanwick, George James, Peter R. Sommerville, Phillip Rush, John T. Robinson, David Wemyss, and William Douslin, under the name or style of the “Cook’s Adventure Gold Mining Company.” Area: Sixteen Acres.

William Welford, Thomas Galloway, Charles J. Greenlaw, William Clark, Charles H. Turner, Richard Nicholls, and Josiah Harris, under the name or style of the “Endeavour Gold Mining Company.” Area: Seven Acres.

Thomas Hart, under the name or style of the “Hit or Miss Gold Mining Company.” Area: Sixteen Acres.

THE following Application for a Depasturing License has been received by me in accordance with "The Marlborough Waste Lands Act, 1867":—

HENRY GEORGE BELL.—District of North Bank of Wairau. Boundaries: On the North and East by Quartz and Bartlett’s Creeks; on the South by Freehold Land; and on the West by Crown Land.
