To His Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that a Writ issued for the Election of One Member of the Provincial Council for the District of the Town of Picton, has been returned with an endorsement to the effect that
EDWARD TENNYSON CONOLLY, Esq.,
has been duly elected.

Blenheim, 15th March, 1872.
In accordance with Section 7 of "The Marlborough Waste Lands Act, 1867," the Waste Lands Board has reserved the undermentioned Lands, in order that they may be dealt with as Suburban Sections, namely:
All Crown Lands situate within the Watershed of the Kaituna, and Pelorus Valleys.
