PROCLAMATION.
By his Honor Arthur Penrose Seymour, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, in the Colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS, by Clause IV of "The Gold Fields Act, 1866," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor to cause a document, to be called "The Miners’ Right," to be issued to any person applying for the same on the payment of the sum of Twenty Shillings:
And whereas, by a Warrant bearing date the Fourth day of May, 1870, his Excellency the Governor delegated the said recited power to me, Arthur Penrose Seymour, the Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, to have, hold, and exercise the same within the said Province:
Now therefore I, Arthur Penrose Seymour, the Superintendent as aforesaid, do hereby appoint that
William Henry Eyes, Esquire, shall issue, at the office of the Provincial Secretary, in the Town of Blenheim, a "Miner’s Right," in the form set forth in Schedule A to the said Act annexed, to any person who shall apply for the same, on payment of the sum of Twenty Shillings.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Marlborough, at Blenheim, this Fifth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

And whereas, by a Warrant under the hand of his Excellency the Governor, bearing date the Fourth day of May, 1870, the said recited power within the Province of Marlborough was delegated to me, Arthur Penrose Seymour, the Superintendent of the said Province:
Now therefore I, Arthur Penrose Seymour, the Superintendent as aforesaid, do hereby appoint and declare, that the Gold Field Regulations now in force in the Pelorus and Wairau Gold Fields, shall be in force from the date hereof within the limits of "The Ravenscliff Gold Field," in the said Province of Marlborough.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Marlborough, at Blenheim, this Fifth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.
