Blenheim, 22nd July, 1870.

A DECISION in favour of the following APPLICANT for a PASTORAL LEASE has this day been given in accordance with “The Marlborough Waste Lands Act, 1867.”

John Clervaux Chaytor, District Clarence. Estimated extent, 1800 acres.

Blenheim, July 26, 1870.

IT is hereby notified, that a Lease for Fourteen Years of the Government Reserve on the South Bank of the Clarence, containing about 1,500 acres, will be put up to Auction at the Survey Office, Blenheim, at noon, on Friday, the Ninth day of September, 1870, at the upset rental of £70 per annum.

A plan of the reserve is open to public inspection at this Office, and at the Police Station, Kaikoura, where copies of the conditions to be inserted in the lease may be seen; and also at the Clarence Ferry.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that George Edward Levien, Esquire, has resigned his seat in the Provincial Council for the District of Pelorus.

WHEREAS, the Rent due under a Depasturing License, dated the First day of January, 1869, made out in the name of Edward Christopher Wyvill, for the Raydale Run, No. 2, in the District of North Bank of Wairau, in the Province of Marlborough, containing by approximation 1120 acres, has been in arrear since the First day of January, 1870.

Now therefore I, James Balfour Wemyss, Esquire, the Commissioner of Crown Lands for the said Province, do hereby declare the said License forfeited.

Dated at the Crown Lands Office, Blenheim, this Twenty-second day of July, One thousand eight hundred and seventy.
