PROCLAMATION.
By his Honour Arthur Penrose Seymour, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, in the colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS Cyrus Goulter, Esquire, Speaker of the Provincial Council of Marlborough, did on this 28th day of March, 1870, declare and notify that I, Arthur Penrose Seymour, was duly elected by a majority of the Provincial Council Superintendent of the said Province:
Now therefore I do hereby proclaim and declare that I have assumed the office of Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough accordingly, and I hereby call upon the inhabitants of the said Province to aid and assist me therein.
Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Marlborough, at Blenheim, this twenty-eighth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy.
