PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor William Henry Eyes,
Esquire, Superintendent of the
Province of Marlborough, in the
Colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by a Proclamation under
"The Goldfields Act, 1862," bearing
date the eleventh day of June, One
thousand eight hundred and sixty-four, by
Thomas Cartru, Esquire, the Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, the
boundaries of the Pelorus Goldfield were
thus described:--"All that territory comprising One hundred and seventy-five thousand acres or thereabouts, situate within
the Watershed of the Ranges enclosing the
basin of the Pelorus River to that point in
the said river as may be determined by the
intersection of the said river with a line
drawn North-west (true bearing) from the
North-western boundary of the Township
of Havelock, being the North-west corner
of Section one hundred and twenty-two of
the said Township." And whereas by
"The Goldfields Act, 1865," the power is
given to His Excellency the Governor to
alter from time to time the limits of goldfields as occasion may require. And whereas
by Section 109 this power may be delegated
to the Superintendent of any Province, or
such other person as the Governor may
deem fit. And whereas by a warrant under
the hand of His Excellency the Governor
and the Seal of the Colony this power was
delegated to me as Superintendent of the
Province of Marlborough. And whereas it
is expedient to re-define the boundaries of
the Pelorus Goldfield.
Now therefore I, William Henry Eyes,
Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of
Marlborough, by virtue of the said powers
as above recited, do hereby proclaim and
declare that the Water-sheds bounding the
Wakamarina river, and its tributaries shall
be the boundaries of the Pelorus Goldfield.
Given under my hand, and issued
under the Public Seal of the
Province of Marlborough, at
Blenheim, this twentieth day
of January, one thousand eight
hundred and sixty-eight.

PROCLAMATION.

Province of Marlborough, in the
Colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by an Ordinance of the
Legislative Council of New Zealand, intituled "An Ordinance to authorise
and regulate the Impounding of Cattle,"
the Governor is empowered by notification
in the Government Gazette, from time to
time, to increase, reduce, or otherwise vary
the fees and charges under the said Ordinance, as occasion may require: And
whereas such power within the Province
of Marlborough is now vested in the Superintendendent thereof.
Now therefore, I, William Henry Eyes,
Esquire, the Superintendent of the Provinces of Marlborough, do hereby proclaim
and declare that, from the date hereof, the
Fees payable, and the charges for food to
be made at the various Pounds in the
Province, shall be as follows, that is to
say:—
Poundage Fees.

| For each Ram, above the age of
9 months | 0 1 0 |
| For each Ewe, Wether, or Lamb,
for the first twenty | 0 0 2 |
