PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor William Henry Eyes,
Esquire, Superintendent of the
Province of Marlborough, in the
Colony of New Zealand:

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Provincial Reserved Bills Act, 1858," it is provided that, whenever any Bills have passed the Provincial Council of any Province, and shall have been reserved for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure thereon, such Bills shall not have any force or authority within the said Province until the Superintendent shall signify, either by speech or message to the Provincial Council, or by proclamation in the Government Gazette of the said Province, that such Bills have been laid before the Governor, and that the Governor has assented to the same:

And whereas the following Act, intituled

"The Cattle Trespass Act, 1867"

was passed by the Provincial Council of Marlborough, but was reserved for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure thereon:

Now therefore I, William Henry Eyes, do hereby proclaim and declare that the above-mentioned Act has been duly laid before His Excellency the Governor, and the Governor having assented thereto, the same is, under the provisions of the said recited Act of the General Assembly, in full force and authority within the Province of Marlborough from the date of this Proclamation.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Marlborough, at Blenheim, this twenty-ninth day of October, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven.

NOTICE is hereby given that a decision in favour of the following Applicant for a Depasturing Licence, has this day been given in accordance with "The Marlborough Waste Lands Act, 1867."
