PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor WILLIAM HENRY EYES, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, in the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Marine Act, 1867," it shall be lawful for the Superintendent of any Province, from time to time, as occasion may require, by Proclamation for that purpose, published in the Gazette of the Province, to define the limits and boundaries for the purposes of this Act, of any Wharf, Quay, Pier, or Dock, within such Province; and such Proclamation, from time to time, to revoke, and to redefine such limits and boundaries.

Now therefore, I, WILLIAM HENRY EYES, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, in pursuance of the powers vested in me, do hereby revoke the Proclamation issued by me under the said Act, and bearing date the Fifth day of April, 1867, and do hereby proclaim and declare that the limits and boundaries of the Quays and Wharves of the Towns of Blenheim and Picton, in the said Province respectively, shall be as follows:β€”

The Blenheim Quays and Wharves shall include the River Wairau, from the sea to its junction with the Tas-Mania River, and the River Opawa from its junction with the River Wairau to the Northern boundary of Section 47, Opawa; together with all the land within Five (5) chains on each side of each of these Rivers respectively; also the Omaka River from its junction with the Opawa to the boundary line between Section 465 and Leith Terrace, Town of Blenheim, including a strip of land Five (5) chains wide on the North side and Ten (10) chains wide on the South side of the said river.

The Picton Quay and Wharf shall comprise the Government Reserve marked D on the plan of the Town of Picton, in the Crown Lands Office of this Province.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Marlborough, at Blenheim, this Twenty-second day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven.
