Local Committees of Education.

Blenheim, 15th Feb., 1867.
HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified, that the following gentlemen have been elected to form Local Committees under the provisions of the “Education Act, 1865,” for the undermentioned districts respectively:—
District of Blenheim,
Messrs. J. M. Hutcheson, D. Kitelien, and J. Kennedy.
District of Picton,
The Rev. T. I. Tulor, Messrs. J. R. Gard, and A. Beauchamp.
District of Wairau Valley,
The Hon. W. D. H. Baillie, Messrs. J. Bonnington, and G. Macdonald.
District of Kaikoura,
Messrs. Samuel Poulter, John McInnes, and Edward Clarke.
District of Mahakipawa,
Messrs. H. Gaby, J.P., W. Brownlie, and Alex. Duncan.
District of Spring Creek,
Messrs. G. Dodson, R. Matthews, and R. Robinson.
District of Renwicktown,
Messrs. H. Godfrey, J. McAllister, and R. McIsaacs.

Appointment of Commissioners of Education.
Superintendent’s Office,
Blenheim, 15th Feb., 1867.
HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified, that whereas the qualified Electors of several Educational Districts have neglected to elect Local Committees in accordance with the proclamation issued on that behalf, and bearing date the second day of January, 1867, the Board of Education has, in accordance with the twentieth clause of “The Education Act, 1865,” appointed the following gentlemen to be Commissioners for the undermentioned districts respectively:—
District of Havelock,
Messrs. J. O. Denham, W. Douslin, and J. H. Smith.

IT is notified for general information that, at a Meeting of the Ratepayers held at the Court House, Picton, on the 11th instant,
MR. WILLIAM DART
was duly elected a member of the Picton Board of Works, in lieu of A. P. Seymour, Esquire, resigned.

Run Open for Application.
WHEREAS a decision was, on the 26th day of March 1866, given in favour of Daniel Bradshaw, on his application for a Run in the district of Pelorus Sound: And whereas the said Daniel Bradshaw has failed to lodge with me a plan of the said Run, as required by the Land Regulations: Now, therefore, I, James Balfour Wemyss, Esquire, Commissioner of Crown Lands for the Province of Marlborough, do hereby declare the said Run open to be applied for by any other person.
