Alteration of Roads.

Blenheim, 26th January, 1867.

I, THE Undersigned, FREDERIC JOHN LITCHFIELD, of Blenheim, in the Province of Marlborough, New Zealand, Storekeeper, hereby give notice that I intend to apply to two or more Justices of the Peace having jurisdiction in the said Province, at a sitting to be held on TUESDAY, the Nineteenth day of March next, at Blenheim, for an Order for stopping up and diverting the undermentioned Roads; and, further, that I will cause survey-plans of the several roads proposed to be stopped up, and of the road proposed to be substituted, together with book of reference and estimate, to be deposited with the Clerk to the Magistrates at Blenheim, and with Sergeant Goodall, Constable, at Havelock:—

To stop up a road in the district of Kaituna Valley, commencing at the South-east angle of section numbered 103, and proceeding forty-one chains in a northerly direction between section numbered 103 on the West, and sections numbered respectively 102 and 65 on the East, and terminating at the North-east angle of said section 103;

Also to stop up a road in the said district commencing at the South-east angle of section numbered 102, and proceeding forty chains in a Northerly direction between sections numbered respectively 102 and 65 on the West, and sections numbered respectively 64 and 63 on the East, and thence proceeding about eight chains in a Westerly direction between section numbered 65 on the South, and section numbered 60 on the North, and terminating where the hereinafter mentioned substituted road terminates;

And to substitute for the before-named roads, a road in the said district, commencing at the main road across section numbered 63, and proceeding nine chains in a South-westerly direction, through section numbered 63, and thence about twenty-one chains in a general Westerly direction through sections numbered respectively 63 and 65, and also across the present road intervening between those sections, and terminating at the road between sections numbered respectively 65 and 60.

APPLICATION for a Pasture License, in accordance with the Land Regulations of 1st July, 1856, received by me this day:—

William Douslin District—Pelorus Sound.
Boundaries — “Towards the North and East by the waters of the Pelorus Sound, from the North-Western boundary to the South-Eastern boundary of the Town of Havelock; thence on the South by the Southern boundary of Section No. 165, extending in a Westerly direction for 19,000 links; on the West by the surveyed sections in the Pelorus Valley, as far as the South-Western corner of Section 33; thence by a right line till it intersects the Southern boundary—excepting all the purchased land within the above boundaries.”
Estimated extent—3,000 acres.
Deposit paid—£15.
