APPLICATIONS for Depasturage Licenses, in accordance with the Land Regulations
of 1st July, 1856, received by the Commissioner of Crown Lands before this date :—
William Smith ............ District.—Kai Koura.
Boundaries.—On the North, North-East, and East, by the coast
line from the mouth of the river Conway, to a point six miles
Northward in a direct line, and thence by a straight line due
West for one mile; on the South by the Conway from the
coast to a point one mile inward; and on the West by a
straight line from the last-mentioned point to a point one
mile West of the extreme Northern point of the coast line
—being the Block of land reserved by the Nelson Government
in October, 1854, as a Shearing Reserve, and Un-reserved by
Superintendent of Marlborough, vide Gazette of February
27th, 1866—excepting the Maori and Government Reserves
within the above limits.
Estimated extent.—6,000 acres.
Deposit paid.—£15.
