from a point 25 chains along the
east north of Heaphy Point, and
bearing east until it intersects
opposite coast, and on the east,
south, and west, by the sea.

Kaihinui, called Mochoho.

Council of Marlborough for the Electoral District of Blenheim.

PROCLAMATION
By His Honor, Arthur Penrose Seymour, Esq.,
Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough.
WHEREAS a “Licensing
Act,” a “Picton Institute Act,” an “Appropriation
Act,” an “Extended Representation Act,”
and a “Vagrant Ordinance” were passed by the
Provincial Council during their eighth and tenth
sessions, but were respectively reserved for the
signification of the Governor’s pleasure thereon.
Now, therefore, I, Arthur Penrose Seymour, do
hereby proclaim and notify that the above-mentioned
Acts, having been duly laid before His
Excellency the Governor and the Governor
having assented to the same, are under the provisions of the said recited Act in full force and
authority within the Province of Marlborough
from the date of this Proclamation.

ELECTION NOTICE
NOTICE is hereby given, that Thursday,
the 29th day of December has been appointed for taking the Poll of an Election of 4
persons to serve as Governors of the Nelson
College under the Nelson Trust Funds Act.
The undersigned Returning Officers and
Polling Places are hereby duly appointed for such
purpose.

W. Moore, Esq. – School House, Renwick
The Poll will take place between the hours of
nine a.m. and four p.m. on the day above mentioned.
