PROVINCE OF MARLBOROUGH.
Crown Lands Office, Picton,
28th December, 1863.
WHEREAS a notification, published in the Provincial Government Gazette, dated the Eleventh day of March, 1863, was given of a decision in favour of Charles Ruck Keene and George Ruck Keene on their application for a run in the District of Clarence, bounded North-east by the South-western boundary of G. Williams’s run (viz., the river Gloucester to a point about two and a half miles from its junction with the Clarence); South-east by the Clarence river; South-west by the Eastern boundary of T. Carter’s old run; and North-west by the Eastern boundary of T. Carter’s new run, and by a line drawn from the North-eastern point of the said run to the said point on the river Gloucester, about two and a half miles from its junction with the Clarence.
And whereas the said Charles Ruck Keene and George Ruck Keene, not having deposited at this office any certificate or plan of the same within nine months from the date of the said decision, in accordance with the Land Regulations now in force in this province, I do hereby declare the said run to be open to be applied for by any other person.

HEREBY notify, for public information that an Auctioneer’s Licence has been issued to A. Beauchamp, Esq., Picton, to the 30th day of June, 1864.

PROCLAMATION.
By His Honour Thomas Carter, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, in the Colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Provincial Reserv’d Bills Act, 1858," it is provided that whenever any bill shall have passed the Provincial Council of any province, and shall have been reserved by the Superintendent for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure thereon, such bill shall not have any force or authority within the said province until the Superintendent shall signify, either by speech or message to the Provincial Council, or by proclamation in the Government Gazette of the said province, that such bill has been laid before the Governor, and that the Governor has assented to the same.
And whereas the following Acts, intituled
- "The Opawa Breach Act, 1863,"
- "The Dog Nuisance Abatement Act, 1863,"
- "An Act to amend an Alteration of Roads Act, 1863,"
were passed by the Provincial Council of Marlborough, but were reserved for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure thereon.
Now, therefore, I, Thomas Carter, do hereby proclaim and notify that the aforementioned acts have been duly laid before His Excellency the Governor, and the Governor having assented to the same, are in full force and authority within the Province of Marlborough from the date of this Proclamation.
Given under my hand, at the Superintendent’s Office, Picton, this seventh day of January, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four.
