PROVINCE OF MARLBOROUGH.

Crown Land Office, Picton,
August 6, 1862.

NOTICE is hereby given that the PLANS for the NEXT LAND SALE must be deposited at this Office on or before the 30th day of September next.

PUBLIC RESERVE.

IT is notified that the undermentioned portions of the Waste Lands of the Crown, within the Province of Marlborough, as hereinafter described, has been reserved for public purposes:—

On the North bank of the River Clarence,
at its mouth, bounded as follows:—
On the North by sections Nos. 7, 3,
8, 2, and part of section No. 34,
Woodbank Run; on the South by the River Clarence; on the East by the sea; and on the West by a public road.
Estimated Extent.—About 500 acres.

On the South bank of the River Clarence,
at its mouth, bounded as follows:—
On the North by the River Clarence;
on the East by the sea to the mouth of a stream separating it from the Native Reserve; on the South by the said stream to the North-western corner of Native Reserve; thence on the West by a line, 95 chains in length, to the South-western corner of section No. 5; thence by the boundary of said section to the South-eastern corner of same; thence by the Eastern boundary of said section produced till it intersects the River Clarence.
Estimated extent.—About 1,500 acres.
