Boundaries—North by water
known as Ohingaroa Bay;
on the West by the Pelorus;
on the South by Maha-
kipawa Bay; on the
East partly by surveyed
land marked on the plan
Nos. 8, 21 and 22, and
from thence by unsurveyed
land in a North-east line to
the water in Ohangaroa
Bay.
Estimated extent—Under
10,000 acres.

at the Meeting held this day, as per
advertisement, for the election of five qualified persons as Members of the Board of
Works, the five undermentioned were duly
returned as elected:—

Philpotts, and Pethcrick.

IT is hereby notified that the undermentioned portions of the Waste Lands of
the Crown within the Province of Marl-
borough, have been reserved for general pur-
poses, in accordance with Land Regula-
tions, 1856, viz.—
All that portion of land in the District
of Kai-Koura, bounded on the North
by a line starting from a spot 50 chains
from high water mark at the mouth of
the River Hapuka, and running in a
South-westerly direction to a public
road, forming the South-eastern boundary of sections Nos. 29, 40, 41, 42,
43, 44, 45, 46, 47, Mr. G. Fyffe’s run,
to the North-eastern boundary of
Homestead Section; thence by the
boundaries of said block to the South-
western corner of said section; thence
by the South-western boundary of said
section, and by this line produced for
about 90 chains; thence by a line to
the base of Mount Fyffe; thence by a
line for about a mile and a half to a point
four miles due North from the mouth of
the River Khautara; thence in a
straight line to the mouth of the said
river; thence by the sea to the mouth
of the River Hapuka; and also all the
timbered land on Mr. G. Fyffe’s run.
Estimated extent.—About 14,750 acres.

895, 896, 897, 898, 899, 900, 901,
902, for a College Reserve, &c.
Sections Nos. 1025, 1024, 1025, 1026,
1027, 1028, 1029, 1030, 55, 56, 58,
59, 62, 63, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 75, 76,
77, 78, 79, 80, 84, 85, 86, 87, for
purposes of general utility.

RESERVE FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES.
IT is notified that the undermentioned
portion of the Waste Lands of the
Crown, within the Province of Marlborough,
as hereinafter described, has been reserved
for public purposes:—
All that block of land situated in the
District of Omaka, and bounded as
follows:—On the North by the Wairau and Opawa Rivers; on the South
by sections Nos. 34, 35, and 36; on
the East by section No. 169; and on
the West by a public road.
Estimated extent.—About 470 acres.
