All Public Notifications which appear in this Gazette, with any Official Signature thereto annexed, are to be considered as Official Communications made to those persons to whom they relate, and are to be obeyed accordingly.

PROCLAMATION

By His Honour William Douglas Hall Baillie, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, in the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS, by an Act passed by the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Marlborough, in Session III., No. 1, intituled, "The Education Act, 1861," and assented to by His Excellency the Governor, it is amongst other things enacted, that for the purposes of that Act it should be lawful for the Superintendent to constitute within the Province Educational Districts, and to make such provisions for carrying this Act into operation as he shall think expedient until the Election of the Education Board. Now, therefore, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, do hereby proclaim and constitute the following Districts for the purposes of the said in part recited Act, that is to say:—

PICTON DISTRICT.
Circle of four miles radius, measured from the Government Offices, Picton.

BLENHEIM DISTRICT.
Bounded on the West by public road.

RENWICK DISTRICT.
Bounded on the North by the Wairau and Opawa rivers; on the East by public road between sections numbered 61 and 62, Omaka; on the South and West by the circumference of a circle of four miles radius, measured from the centre of the School Reserve, Renwick.

WAIRAU VALLEY DISTRICT.
Bounded on the North by the Wairau River; and on the East, South, and West by the circumference of a circle of four miles radius, measured from the centre of the Educational Reserve on section numbered 14, Wairau Valley.
