time being are within a line commencing
at White’s Bay, thence Westwards along
a straight line to the confluence of the
Tua Marina and Wairau rivers, thence
westwards along the Wairau river to a
point opposite the road between Sections
101 and 105 Wairau West, thence along
a line produced northwards in the direction of the last named road until it intersects the boundary of the electoral district of Picton, thence westwards along
the boundary of the electoral district of
Picton to the western line of the Militia
district, thence northwards and eastwards
along the boundary of the Militia district to
Cook’s Strait, thence running along the
coast line to the commencing point.

No. 3 or WAIRAU COMPANY to
comprise all those liable to serve as Militiamen, whose place of abode for the time being
are within a line commencing at the
Red Hills at the intersection of the boundary
of the electoral district of Picton with the
boundary of the Militia district, thence running
eastwards along the boundary of the
electoral district of Picton to the north-east
corner of the electoral district of Upper
Wairau, thence southwards along the eastern
boundary of the Upper Wairau district to
the dividing ridge between the Wairau and
Awatere Valleys, thence westwards along
the said dividing ridge to the boundary of
the Militia district, thence northwards along
the boundary of the Militia district to the
commencing point.

No. 4 or AWATERE COMPANY to
comprise all those liable to serve as Militiamen, whose place of abode for the time being
are within a line commencing at the White
Bluff, thence running south-east and south-west along the coast to the boundary of the
Militia district, thence west and north-west
to the dividing ridge between the Wairau
and Awatere valleys, thence north-east along
the said ridge to the commencing point.
