All public Notifications which appear in this Gazette, with any Official Signature thereunto annexed, are to be considered as Official Communications made to those persons to whom they relate, and are to be obeyed accordingly.

PROCLAMATION.
By DONALD M’LEAN, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled “The Provincial Reserved Bills Act, 1858,” it is provided that no Bill reserved for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure shall have any force within the Province until the Superintendent shall signify as therein specified, that it has been laid before the Governor, and that His Excellency has assented to the same: And whereas certain Acts intituled “The Appropriation Act, 1867,” “The Sheep and Scab Amendment Act, 1867,” “The Cattle Trespass and Impounding Act, 1867,” were passed by the Provincial Council of Hawke’s Bay during this session, but reserved by me for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure:
Now, therefore, I, Donald M’Lean, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, do hereby proclaim and notify that the above-mentioned Acts have been duly laid before His Excellency the Governor, and, having received his assent, are, under the provisions of the Act of the General Assembly before referred to, in force within the Province of Hawke’s Bay from the date of this proclamation.
Dated this eighteenth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty seven.

IT IS HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Officers of the Provincial Government are required to attend at their respective offices from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on all weekdays, except Saturdays, when the hours of attendance will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

IT having been found inconvenient to observe the usual Holidays on the 1st and 2nd November, it is hereby notified for general information that they will be observed this year in the public offices on the 4th and 5th November.

In the matter of John Armstrong Turner, Car Proprietor, a debtor.
On the eighth day of October, 1867.
ON reading the petition of John Armstrong Turner, of Napier, Car Proprietor, and on hearing Mr. Borlase of counsel for the said John Armstrong Turner, it is ordered that the Estate and effects of the petitioner be sequestrated in the hands of the Inspector in Bankruptcy
