is specified and described in the Sched- ule hereunder, shall cease as from the date hereof to be a Pastoral District, and shall come within the operation of the said Acts.

Now, therefore, I, Donald M’Lean, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, Do hereby proclaim and declare that the said above-mentioned Acts shall come into operation within the Districts following:— Town and Suburban lands of Clyde, Agricultural Reserve of Turiroa, and Rural Sections of Potutu, all in the Wairoa district.

Dated this thirteenth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor Donald McLean, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in the Island of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the Provincial Council of Wellington, Session 3, No. 8, intituled “An Act to amend and consolidate the Law relating to Cattle Trespass and Impounding,” and an Act of Session 8, No. 8, of the Provincial Council of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, intituled “An Act to amend an Act and consolidate the Law relating to Cattle Trespass and Impounding, Session 3 No. 8, of the Province of Wellington,” it is amongst other things enacted, that the Superintendent may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare any Pounds to be or cease to be public Pounds within the meaning of the said Act, and may from time to time, in like manner appoint Keepers of such Pounds.

Now, therefore, I, Donald McLean, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, do hereby proclaim that the respective person and place hereafter mentioned shall be a Poundkeeper and public Pound:—

Mr. Melville Smith,
Rissington Station, Peka Peka.

Given under my hand and Seal of the Province of Hawke’s Bay this thirteenth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.

SCHEDULE.

STARTING at the junction of the Mangaone with the Tutaekuri; following along the Southern bank of the Mangaone to the Pohui Bush; thence along the Southern and Western edge of that Bush to the Bridle track to Auckland; along that track to the Mohaka river; up that river to its source, thence in a straight line due West to the Tutaekuri, and down that river to its junction with the Mangaone, the starting point.


PROCLAMATION.

By DONALD M’LEAN, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act passed in the Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington, Session 1 No. 13, intituled “An Act to make further provisions relative to fencing within the Districts of the Province,” it is enacted that the Superintendent of the Province should, whenever it should appear to him expedient, declare by Proclamation that the said Act should come into operation within any Town or District of the Province, and by the same Proclamation declare the limits of such Town or District: And whereas, by an Act of the Provincial Council of Hawke’s Bay, Session 8 No. 7, intituled “An Act to make further provision relative to fencing within the Province of Hawke’s Bay,” it is enacted...

Now, therefore, I, Donald McLean, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, Do hereby proclaim and declare that all the District specified and described in the Schedule hereunder written shall cease to be a Pastoral District, and shall come within the operation of the said Act No. 8 of Session No. 3 of the Province of Wellington, as amended by an Act of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of Hawke’s Bay, No. 8 of Session No. 8, intituled “An Act to amend an Act intituled ‘An Act to amend and consolidate the Law relating to Cattle Trespass and Impounding.’” Session 3 No. 8 of the Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington.
