Napier, April 18, 1865.

BY VIRTUE and in exercise of the power and authority for this purpose vested in me, I, Charles Lambert, Major, the Officer commanding in the Napier Militia District, Do hereby fix and appoint the times and places hereunder written to be the times and places for the training and exercise of such of the men of the first and second classes of the Napier Regiment of Militia and of all Volunteers who are resident within the districts assigned to Troops and Companies, on such days and hours as hereinafter stated.

No. 3 Company—The whole of the Company... Monday, 8th May proximo, at 12 o'clock Noon School House, Clive
No. 4 Company—Section 1, including Meanee, Woodthorpe, and Puketapu... Tuesday, 9th May proximo, at 12 o'clock Noon Junction of the Taupo and Poraitei Roads near the Tutaekuri River
Section 2... Wednesday, 10th May prox., at 12 o'clock Noon Near School-house, Petane
Section 3—All that part of No. 4 Company resident within a radius of 10 miles of the Mohaka Stockade... Wednesday, 10th May prox., at 12 o'clock Noon Mohaka Stockade
Section 4—All that part of No. 4 Company resident within a radius of 6 miles of the Stockade near the Wairoa River... Wednesday, 10th May prox., at 12 o'clock Noon Wairoa Stockade
No. 5 Company—Captain Herrick's Subdivision... Thursday, 11th May, prox., at 12 o'clock Noon At the usual Parade ground
Lieut. Curling's Subdivision... Saturday, 13th May proximo, at 12 o'clock Noon Near Patangata
No. 6 Company—The whole of the Company... Monday, 15th May prox., at 12 o'clock Noon Court House, Waipawa
No. 7 Company—not including residents in the Porangahau District... Tuesday, 16th May prox., at 12 o'clock Noon Tavistock Hotel, Waipukurau
Napier Cavalry Volunteers... Monday, 8th May proximo, at 8 o'clock p.m. Usual Parade ground, Meanee
Waipawa Cavalry Volunteers... Monday, 8th May proximo, at 12 o'clock Noon Waipawa Court House

The training of the Militia and Volunteers will take place two days in each month—two hours each day—at such places and hours as may be appointed by the Officer Commanding.

No. 1. The Major Commanding requests that Captains will with the assistance of the officers of their respective Companies enrol every man liable to serve in the Militia in their several districts, and that they will summon before a Magistrate with the view to a fine being
