All public notifications which appear in this Gazette, with any Official Signature thereunto annexed, are to be considered as Official Communications made to those persons to whom they relate, and are to be obeyed accordingly.

IT IS hereby notified for general information that the following gentlemen have been appointed under the Vaccination Act 1863 to the districts respectively enumerated in the Schedule hereunto annexed:

Dr. Ormond ... 3
Dr. Venn ... 4
Dr. English ... 5

DISTRICT NO. 1.

All that part of the Province of Hawke’s Bay lying between the River Esk and the Tutaekuri River, including the town and suburban land of Scinde Island.

DISTRICT NO. 2.

All that portion of the Province of Hawke’s Bay lying between the River Esk and the Northern boundary of the Province.

DISTRICT NO. 3.

All that portion of the Province of Hawke’s Bay within the following boundaries:—Commencing at Waitangi, following a line due West to the Tutaekuri river, up that river to the Western boundary of the Province, following the Western boundary of the Province in a Southerly direction to Mount Park; thence in an Easterly direction to the Northern boundary of the Kereru Bush; along the boundary of the Bush to the source of the Manganuku, down that river to the boundary between Messrs. Mason’s and Stokes’ runs; thence in a Westerly direction to Te Ante, along the native boundary to Patangata—crossing the Tuki Tuki at Patangata to the Makara Stream, following that stream to its source; thence along the Southern boundary of the Waimarama Block to the sea coast, and along the sea coast to Waitangi.

DISTRICT NO. 4.

All that portion of the Province of Hawke’s Bay within the following boundaries:—Commencing at the sea coast, following the Southern boundary of District No. 3 to the Western boundary of the Province; along the Western boundary of the Province to the Tuki Tuki river, down that river to the Tukuwaru Bush, crossing the Tuki Tuki to Tamumu; thence up the Mangamahaki to the Waiwhero, along the Waiwhero to the Omakari Stream; following that stream in an easterly direction to the Bridge; thence in a straight line to the sea coast at Paoanui; along the sea coast to the Southern boundary of District No. 3.

DISTRICT NO. 5.

All that portion of the Province of Hawke’s Bay within the following boundaries:—Commencing at the sea coast, following the Southern boundary of District No. 4 to the Western boundary of the Province; along the Western and Southern boundaries of the Province to the sea coast; along the sea coast to the Southern boundary of District No. 4.
