PROCLAMATION.
By JOHN CHILTON LAMBTON CARTER, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Hawke's Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.
I, JOHN CHILTON LAMBTON CARTER, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke's Bay aforesaid,—Do Hereby Proclaim and Notify that the Lands described in the annexed Schedule will be open for public selection under the Regulations of the 4th day of March, 1853, and the additional Land Regulations of the 15th Feb., 1855, at the Land Office, Napier, on and after WEDNESDAY, the second day of OCTOBER, 1861.
Dated this sixth day of August, in year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-one.

NORTH RUATANIWHA BLOCK,
Estimated area,—111,000 acres.
BOUNDARIES :—
North :—By Otaranga, Aorangi, and Puahine (Gwavas) blocks.
East :—By Mangarangi, Peke Peke, and Puahine blocks, by the Agricultural Reserve of Hampden, and by the Tikokino Native Reserve.
South :—By the Waipawa river.
West :—By the Ruahine mountains.
