PROCLAMATION.

By THOMAS HENRY FITZGERALD Esq.,
Superintendent of the Province of
Hawke\'s Bay, in the Islands of
New Zealand.

I, THOMAS HENRY FITZGERALD,
Superintendent of the Province of
Hawke\'s Bay aforesaid, Do HEREBY PRO-
CLAIM and NOTIFY that the Lands de-
scribed in the annexed Schedule will be
open for Public Selection under the Re-
gulations of the 4th day of March, 1853,
and the Additional Land Regulations of
the 15th February, 1855, at the Land
Office at Napier, on and after the 7th day
of May, 1860.

in the year of our Lord One
thousand eight hundred and sixty.

SCHEDULE ABOVE REFERRED TO.

Province of Hawke\'s Bay.

OKAWA BLOCK.

Estimated Area—10,577 Acres, includ-
ing Agricultural and Non-Agricultural
Land.

BOUNDARIES :—

Commencing at the Lake called Ore-ore,
and following the Eastern branch to
the end; from thence to a point on
the shoulder of the hill called Ngama-
hanga; which line bears by compass
356° 36′, from thence to a point at
the foot of a ridge of hills near the
bank of the Tutackuri river, and
thence to the Tutackuri. The boun-
dary then follows the course of the
Tutackuri upwards, to the mouth of a
creek which rises near the head of
Mangatarata, and up said creek to a
point near its source; it then strikes
across to the Mangatarata, and down
that stream to its junction with the
Okawa River, and down the Okawa
to the Ore-ore Lake.

This Block has been surveyed, and is
divided into Sections of 80 to 320
acres each, as shewn on the Government
Map of that District, which shows the por-
tions fit for Agriculture as well as those
not fit for Agriculture. Selections must
be made in general according to the Plan,
although subdivisions may be made of not
less than 40 acres at the request of pur-
chasers and by consent of the Commis-
sioner of Crown Lands.
