Distribution of the said district for school purposes:
Now, therefore, I, William Rolleston, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me, and by and with the consent of the Executive Council, do hereby declare an uniform rate of twopence in the £ to be leviable within the said district under the provisions of the 42nd section of “The Education Ordinance, 1873,” and I do hereby appoint
James Gough
as the person to whom the said rate shall be paid.
Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 26th day of January, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

NOTICE.
THE PROTECTION OF ANIMALS ACT, 1873.
His Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has in pursuance of the powers delegated to him under “The Protection of Animals Act, 1873,” appointed the following persons to act as Rangers within the Province of Canterbury:
- David Fisher, Oxford.
- Richard Perham, Ashley Gorge.
- Henry Philip Hill, Leeston.
- Edward Prebble, Prebbleton.
- Chas. Walter Dumergue, Leithfield.
- Alex. Duncan McIlraith, Hororata.
- Reginald Foster, Craigieburn.
- Robert McFarlane, Kaiapoi.
- William Moir, Styx.

TIMARU PARK.
BYE-LAWS.
- The Domain is open to the Public every day from Sunrise to Sunset.
- Entrance and exit by the gates only. Persons crossing the fences will be prosecuted as trespassers.
- Any dogs found inside the Domain will be destroyed.
- Visitors are requested to keep on the walks, and on no account to touch the trees, shrubs, or flowers.
- No person shall make the garden a thoroughfare for the purpose of carrying burdens.
- No person shall bathe within the limits of the “Park.”

NOTICE.
Notice is hereby given that the Co-Partnership hitherto existing between the undersigned under the style or firm of “Moir & Co.,” was Dissolved on the 24th day of December, 1874.
All debts of the late firm will be discharged by the undersigned, William Moir, and all debts owing to the late firm will be received by the said William Moir, whose receipt for the same will be a sufficient discharge.

His Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has in accordance with section 56 of “The Education Ordinance, 1873,” appointed
George Curle
as the person to whom the annual sums payable under the 55th section of the said Ordinance in the Carleton District shall be paid on or before the 1st of March next, and that he has fixed the Collector’s residence as the place at which such payment shall be made.
