PROCLAMATION.

I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in
pursuance of the powers vested in me in that behalf by the twenty-first clause of the Waste Lands Regulations of the said Province, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, do hereby proclaim and declare that I have temporarily reserved the land hereinafter described, viz.:

Seventy-five acres, more or less, situate at Waimata-mata Bush, bounded on
the north-west by a road; on the
south-east by Section 1096; and on
the south-west by the river, and numbered 143 (in red) on the map of the Chief Surveyor.

Seventy-five acres, more or less, situate at Waimata-mata Bush, bounded on
the north-east by the river; on the
south-east by Rhodes' land; on the
north-west by the Wai Tamaheraki;
and south-west to the extent of
seventy-five acres, and numbered 144
(in red) on the map of the Chief Surveyor.

Five acres, more or less, situate at Peel
Forest, bounded on the north-east by
the high bank of the River Rangitata,
a distance of 4 chains 50 links, and
back south-westerly a distance of 11
chains, adjoining Section 823, and
numbered 165 (in red) on the map
of the Chief Surveyor.

Two hundred and fifty acres, in Alford
Forest, commencing at the northern
corner of Section 1837; thence north-
westerly in a line in continuation of
the north-east boundary of the aforesaid section, a distance of about 16
chains 50 links; thence south-westerly at an angle of 110deg., a distance of about 80 chains to a point
in line with the north-east boundary
lines of Section 3199; thence south-
easterly to the northern corner of
said section, and along the north-east
and south-east boundaries of 3199 to
the north-east boundary of 3021;
thence along the said north-east
boundary of said section and a line
in continuation thereof to the edge
of the bush and following easterly
along the edge of the bush to the
south-west corner of Section 2252;
thence along the western and northern
boundaries of said section, south-
west, north-west, and north-east boundaries of Section 2160, and the north-
western boundary of Section 1837 to
the commencing point, and numbered
240 (in red) on the map of the Chief
Surveyor. Subject to roads.

Given under my hand at Christchurch,
this Twenty-third day of October,
one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-five.
