Educational Districts, Auctioneer License, Council Loan, Animal Protection, Vital Statistics




Section of the said before-recited Ordinance,
and by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council, do hereby proclaim
the districts as specified in the schedule
hereunto annexed to be newly-constituted
Educational Districts within the meaning of
"The Education Ordinance, 1875."

ASHLEY BANK EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT.
Bounded on the south by the River
Ashley; on the west by the Loburn
Educational District; on the north
by a line from Trig. pole 3A to the
northernmost corner of Section 2885;
thence by Stony Creek to where it is
intersected by the southern side of
the Upper Sefton Road; thence by
that road to the road to the north-
east of Section 2137; thence by that
road and the road on the west side of
Section 1976 to the River Ashley
aforesaid.

LOBURN EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT.
Bounded on the north by a line drawn
from the north-east corner of Section
10706 to the north-east corner of
section 9018 and thence in a straight
line to the Grey River; on the west
by the Grey River to its junction
with the Okuku River and by the
latter river to its junction with the
Ashley River; on the south by the
Ashley River to its junction with the
Makerikeri River and on the east by
the Makerikeri River to the southern
corner of Section 6092; thence
easterly along the road forming the
eastern boundary of that Section
and Section 3771 to the southern
boundary of Section 3448; thence
northerly in a straight line to Trig.
pole 8A; and from thence in a
straight line to the starting point.

Auctioneers’ Ordinance, Session III.,
No. 3," I hereby give notice that the
undermentioned person has taken out an
Auctioneer’s License for the period ending
30th June, 1876:—

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL

THE Council of the City of Christchurch
hereby give notice that it is their
intention to consider a proposition to
Borrow a sum of Nine Thousand Pounds

(£9000) at interest at the rate of 6 per
cent. per annum, to meet the expenses of
the works in connection with the Drainage
of the City during the present year. The
said amount to be raised on Debentures
value £50 each, issued for the term of 50
years, and bearing interest at 6 per cent.
per annum, and to be secured by a Special
Rate of One Penny in the £ on the rate-
able property in the City, payable half-
yearly. The principal and interest due on
the several Debentures will be payable out
of the proceeds of the said Rate; the
interest half-yearly, and the principal in one
sum at the time specified in the said Deben-
tures. All payments will be made at the
offices of the Bank of New Zealand, London.

HIS Honor the Deputy-Superintendent
directs it to be notified that he has,
in pursuance of the powers delegated to him
under "The Protection of Animals Act,
1873," appointed the following persons to
act as Rangers within the Province of Canterbury:—
