Vol. XXII. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 1875. No. XLIV.
PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by a Proclamation, dated the 24th day of June, 1875, a rate of one shilling in the £ was declared to be leviable in the Prebbleton District, under the provisions of the 42nd Section of “The Education Ordinance, 1873,” and Henry Brake was appointed as the person to whom the said rate should be paid.
And whereas it is expedient to amend the said Proclamation, now, therefore, I, RICHARD JAMES STRACHAN HARMAN, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the provisions of “The Education Ordinance, 1875,” and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Province, do hereby proclaim and declare that a proportion of such rate equal to ninepence in the £ shall be paid to the said Henry Brake, on or before Saturday, the 16th day of October, 1875.
Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 24th day of September, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.
