“The Diversion of Roads Special Ordinance (No. 5), 1875.”

having been laid before the Governor, his Excellency has not been advised to exercise his power of disallowance in respect of them.

THE following Ordinance, passed by the Provincial Council, and reserved by the Superintendent of Canterbury for the signification of his Excellency’s pleasure thereon, intituled—
“The Fencing Ordinance, 1875,”
having been laid before the Governor, his Excellency has been pleased to withhold his assent from the same.

NOTICE.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that IN the Road Board for the Mandeville and Rangiora District in the Province of Canterbury, having under the provisions of “The Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871,” and the acts amending the same, deemed it expedient to make a public road in the said district, have caused their Surveyor to prepare a certain plan and specification of a piece of land in the said district for the purpose of making the said road, the nature and extent of which road and the site and admeasurements thereof, and the lands through which the same is proposed to be placed and to extend, and the names of the owners and the occupiers thereof, so far as known, are respectively shown and delineated on the said plan, which is deposited for inspection at the office of the said Road Board at Rangiora aforesaid. And notice is hereby given, that all or any person or persons affected by the making of the said road are required to set forth, in writing, addressed to the said Board, and left at their office within forty days from the first publication of this notice, any objection he or they may have to the said road.
