Classification hereinbefore referred to.

Class A Includes

  • Flax, in bales.
  • Brass and Coke.
  • Scrap Iron and other Castings, if declared undamageable and at owner’s risk.
  • Ditto, damageable—Rate and a-half.
  • Furniture, China, Glass, Pictures, and other Valuable or Hazardous Goods—Double rates.
  • Returned Empties—Half rates.
  • Packages weighing two or more tons—Double rates.
  • Packages under a quarter of a ton, to be charged as a quarter ton.
  • Iron (liable to damage or depreciation by moisture or breakage).
  • Merchandise and all Goods not otherwise described.

Note.—Weight or Measurement in all cases at the option of the Railway Department.

Class B Includes

  • Hay, Straw, and Chaff (pressed); Potatoes, Flour, Sharps, Imported Coal (North and South Lines—Stacked at Consignees cost).
  • Undamageable Iron, Slates, Bricks, Stone, Lime, Posts and Rails, Piles, Heavy Timber, Firewood—One cord to the ton.
  • Boxes in bage.
  • Hay, Straw, and Chaff (unpressed) double rates.
  • Firewood—1s. per cord additional if loaded by Railway.
  • Agricultural Produce, not otherwise described.

Note.—Weight or Measurement in all cases at the option of the Railway Department.

Class C Includes

  • Sawn Timber, per 100 feet superficial.
  • Palings, per 100.
  • Shingles, per 1000.
