Class A Includes
- Flax, in bales.
- Brass and Coke.
- Scrap Iron and other Castings, if declared undamageable and at owner’s risk.
- Ditto, damageable—Rate and a-half.
- Furniture, China, Glass, Pictures, and other Valuable or Hazardous Goods—Double rates.
- Returned Empties—Half rates.
- Packages weighing two or more tons—Double rates.
- Packages under a quarter of a ton, to be charged as a quarter ton.
- Iron (liable to damage or depreciation by moisture or breakage).
- Merchandise and all Goods not otherwise described.
Note.—Weight or Measurement in all cases at the option of the Railway Department.
Class B Includes
- Hay, Straw, and Chaff (pressed); Potatoes, Flour, Sharps, Imported Coal (North and South Lines—Stacked at Consignees cost).
- Undamageable Iron, Slates, Bricks, Stone, Lime, Posts and Rails, Piles, Heavy Timber, Firewood—One cord to the ton.
- Boxes in bage.
- Hay, Straw, and Chaff (unpressed) double rates.
- Firewood—1s. per cord additional if loaded by Railway.
- Agricultural Produce, not otherwise described.
Note.—Weight or Measurement in all cases at the option of the Railway Department.
Class C Includes
- Sawn Timber, per 100 feet superficial.
- Palings, per 100.
- Shingles, per 1000.
