  9. How did war arise between Rome and Carthage? Had there been any previous
    communication between them? Give an account of the invasion of Africa by
    Regulus. How was the first Punic War terminated?

  10. Sketch the course of Roman history from the death of Julius Caesar to the subjugation
    of the empire under Augustus.
