PROCLAMATION.
Public Works Office,
Christchurch, 14th May, 1875.
WHEREAS the owners and occupiers of land and householders in the Educational District of Irwell have failed, within the time limited for that purpose by the Board of Education, to contribute and pay to the Provincial Treasurer the amount fixed by the Board as the contribution of the said district for school purposes:
Now, therefore, I, William Rolleston, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, do hereby declare an uniform rate of eightpence half-penny in the £ to be leviable within the said district, under the provisions of the 42nd section of “The Education Ordinance, 1873,” and I do hereby appoint
JAMES CARSTON
as the person to whom the said rate shall be paid.
Given under my hand, at Christchurch, this fifteenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following Reserves, upon the recommendation of the Provincial Council, viz:—
No. 1846 (in red).—Two acres one rood and thirty-six perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, and 43, situate in the township of Arowhenua. For General Government purposes.
No. 1847 (in red).—Two acres three roods and twenty-one perches, more or less, situate in the township of Geraldine; bounded on the southward by the southern boundary of the said town; on the westward by Talbot Street; on the northward by Reserve No. 1373 (in red); and on the eastward by the River Waihi, and also by the terrace crossing the southern boundary of the town, at a point about 1 chain 30 links east of Talbot Street aforesaid. For General Government purposes.
