HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has, in pursuance of the powers delegated to him under “The Protection of Animals Act, 1873,” appointed the following persons to act as Rangers within the Province of Canterbury:

William Beog, Selwyn.
John Murray, Tai Tapu.
Neil Maclean, Rakaia.
John Josling, Rangiora.
William Ross, Springfield Farm, Kaiapoi.
Henry Gardiner, Purau.

NOTICE.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that the South Canterbury Acclimatization Society has this day in accordance with the provisions of Clause 4 of “The Protection of Animals Act, 1873,” registered its rules by depositing a copy of the same, signed by the Chairman, and countersigned by three members thereof, in the office of the Superintendent; and accordingly the South Canterbury Acclimatization Society shall for the purposes of the above recited Act be deemed to be a duly registered Acclimatization Society.
