PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the owners and occupiers of land and householders in the Educational District of Pareora have failed within the time limited for that purpose by the Board of Education to contribute and pay to the Provincial Treasurer the amount fixed by the Board as the contribution of the said district for school purposes:

Now, therefore, I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, do hereby declare an uniform rate of One Shilling in the £ to be payable within the said district under the provisions of the 42nd section of “The Education Ordinance, 1873,” and I do hereby appoint

THOMAS PRIEST,

as the person to whom the said rate shall be paid.

Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 15th day of April one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS under the provisions of Section 15 of “The Canterbury Sheep Ordinance, 1872,” it is provided that a rate shall be struck of sufficient amount to pay the whole expenses of the department of the Inspector of Sheep for the current financial year:

Now, therefore, I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, do hereby declare and give notice that a rate of six shillings to be paid for every five hundred Sheep is struck for the said purpose, and I hereby authorise

PHILIP BAKER BOULTON

to receive the same.

Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 19th day of April, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five,

NOTICE.

SALE OF LITTLE RIVER TIMBER RESERVES.

NOTICE is hereby given that the block of Little River Timber Reserves, specified below, will be submitted to public auction, at the office of the Waste Lands Board, Christchurch, on Friday, the 21st day of May, 1875, at 12 noon, in accordance with the provisions of the “Little River Reserves Sales Ordinance 1869.”
