PROCLAMATION,

Revoking Proclamation of 3rd day of August, 1874, requiring sheep introduced by land from Nelson to be dressed.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation bearing date the 3rd day of August, 1874 and published in the Provincial Government Gazette, No. 37 of the 4th August, 1874, it was ordered that all sheep introduced by land from the Province of Nelson should be dressed to the satisfaction of the Inspector of sheep for the Province of Canterbury:

Now therefore, I, Richard James Strachan Harman, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent by The Canterbury Sheep Ordinance, 1872, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council do hereby revoke the said Proclamation.

Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 2nd day of March one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Canterbury intituled The Education Ordinance, 1873, it is among other things provided that the Superintendent may, under the provisions of Section 26 of the said Ordinance, declare any portion of the Province not comprised within the limits of any Educational District to be an Educational District.

Now, therefore, I, William Rolleston, Superintendent of the powers vested in me, do hereby, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, declare the portion of the Province hereinafter described to be an Educational District, with the name and with the boundaries as are herein-after set forth:

SOUTH ASHBURTON EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT.

Commencing where the Great South Road and Ashburton Road South, running through Section 4354 and Section No. 7822, &c., join; thence along the Great South Road to the Road running on the south side of Section 20348; thence along this Road easterly to the south-east corner of Section 16744; thence easterly and northerly along the Road forming the eastern boundary of Section 16744 and the southern boundaries of Sections 16691, 16688, 16461, 7240, and running through Section 7261 to the Road forming southern boundary of Reserve 758; thence south-easterly along this Road to the Road to the western boundary of Section 6803; thence northerly along the latter Road and the Road forming eastern boundaries of Reserve 737, Sections 18078, 18077, 2145, and 18003 to the Ashburton Road South, running through Sections 7822, &c., and Section 4354;
