PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by an Ordinance of the
Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Canterbury, intituled "The Education Ordinance, 1873," it is among other things provided that the Superintendent may, under the provisions of section 26 of the said Ordinance, declare any portion of the Province not comprised within the limits of any Educational District to be an Educational District:

Now, therefore, I WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the said Province, in pursuance of the powers vested in me do hereby, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, declare the portion of the Province hereinafter described to be an Educational District, with the name and with the boundaries as are hereinafter set forth:β€”

BARRY'S BAY EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT.

Bounded on the South by the southern boundary of Section 4561, the old Little River and Barry's Bay Road, by Barry's Bay and by the southern boundary of Section 8449; towards the West by the Ridge Line where is erected trig. station, French Hill, and Barry's Bay; towards the North by Barry's Pass Road by the road leading from Little River to Pigeon Bay south of Rockey Peak, and by the Purau and Akaroa Road; towards the East by the ridge running between the old Pigeon Bay and Akaroa Road and the New Pigeon

Bay and Akaroa Road; from the Ridge Road south of trig. station White Totara to its meeting west boundary of section 571; hence Southward along such boundary; hence following the south boundary of the said section until it meets the Little River Road; hence along the said road to the sea.

Given under my hand, at Christchurch, this 30th day of October, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by an Ordinance of the
Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Canterbury, intituled "The Education Ordinance, 1873," it is among other things provided that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent to alter boundaries of any Educational District and to divide any Educational District into two or more districts or parts of districts, or to combine two or more districts or parts of districts into one or to add portions of any district to any adjoining district, or to add any locality not being or forming part of a district to an Educational District, and in every such case the district or districts constituted or affected thereby shall be deemed to be and shall be proclaimed as provided in the said Ordinance as newly constituted Educational District or Districts :

Now, therefore, I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON,
