PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the owners and occupiers of land and householders in the Educational District of Colombo Road have failed, within the time limited for that purpose by the Board of Education, to contribute and pay to the Provincial Treasurer the amount fixed by the Board as the contribution of the said district for school purposes :

Now, therefore, I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, do hereby declare an uniform rate of tenpence in the Β£ to be leviable within the said district under the provisions of the 42nd section of "The Education Ordinance, 1873," and I do hereby appoint

SAMUEL WILSON

as the person to whom the said rate shall be paid.

Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 14th day of October, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

Now, therefore, I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, do hereby declare an uniform rate of one shilling in the Β£ to be leviable within the said district under the provisions of the 42nd section of "The Education Ordinance, 1873," and I do hereby appoint

WILLIAM COLLINS ANDREWS

as the person to whom the said rate shall be paid.

Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 14th day of October, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Canterbury, intituled "The Education Ordinance, 1873," it is among other things provided that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent to alter boundaries of any Educational District and to divide any Educational District into two or more districts or parts of districts, or to combine two or more districts or parts of districts into one or to add portions of any district to any adjoining district, or to add any locality not being or forming part of
