ment Ordinance, 1874," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent from time to time, by Proclamation to be published in the Provincial Government Gazette, to appoint one or more place, or places, at or adjacent to the inland boundaries of the Province, at some one or other of which places, all sheep to be introduced by land into the Province shall be crossed over such boundaries:

Now, therefore, I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, do hereby under the authority aforesaid, proclaim and appoint the place opposite McPhail and Jameson's Run, No. 455, on the east side of the river Ahuriri, and on the boundary line between trig. pole E and a point about one and a half miles west of that trig. pole, marked by a Cairn, and on Mr. Robert Campbell's runs Nos. 221, and 222, as places at which sheep may be introduced by land into the said Province of Canterbury.

Given under my hand at Christchurch, this second day of April, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.
