PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Canterbury, intituled "The Education Ordinance, 1873," it is among other things provided that the Superintendent may, under the provisions of Section 26 of the said Ordinance, declare any portion of the Province not comprised within the limits of any Educational District, to be an Educational District:
Now, therefore, I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the said Province, in pursuance of the powers vested in me, do hereby, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, declare the portion of the Province hereinafter described to be an Educational District, with the name and with the boundaries as are hereinafter set forth:—

Commencing at the north-west corner of section 8772; thence southerly along the western boundary of the said section to its south-west corner;
thence southerly in a straight line to the north-west corner of section 10803; thence southerly along the western boundary of said section and section 5719 to the north-east corner of section 7489; thence westerly along the northern boundaries of sections 7489 and 10699 to the north-west corner of the latter section;
thence southerly along the western boundary of said section to its south-west corner; thence easterly along the road forming the southern boundaries of section 10699 and 7489 to the road running between sections 6782 and 14252; thence along the last-mentioned road to the south-west corner of section 14252; thence easterly along the southern boundary of the latter section to its south-east corner; thence easterly and southerly along the road forming the western boundary of section 14252 and northern boundary of section 13541 to the road forming the southern boundaries of sections 13791 and 11520; thence along the last-mentioned road and the road forming the eastern boundaries of sections 13791 and 10703 to the north-east corner of section 10566; thence along the said road to the eastern corner of section 10565; and thence in a straight line to the north-eastern corner of section 7293 at its junction with the river Hae-Hae-te-Moana; thence northerly in a straight line to the eastern corner of section 18576; thence northerly in a straight line to the road forming the western boundary of section 2245; thence north-westerly along the said road to the road forming the southern boundaries of sections 11311 and 11583; thence westerly along the said road and the northern boundaries of sections 5232 and 3612 to the north-west corner of the latter.
