PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Canterbury, intituled "The Education Ordinance, 1873," it is among other things provided that the Superintendent may, under the provisions of section 27, alter the boundaries of any Educational District; and in every such case the district or districts constituted or affected thereby shall be deemed to be and shall be proclaimed, as provided in the above-recited Ordinance, as newly constituted Educational District or Districts, and all proceedings connected therewith shall be taken and conducted in like manner as provided for Educational Districts constituted under "The Education Ordinance, 1873."

Now, therefore, I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the said Province, in pursuance of the powers vested in me, do hereby, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, alter the boundaries of the Educational Districts of Timaru and Pareora respectively, and do hereby proclaim that the boundaries thereof shall from and after this date be hereinafter set forth:β€”

NAME OF DISTRICT BOUNDARIES
Timaru Educational Commencing where the Tai Tara Kihi Creek joins the sea; thence following the creek to the road forming the western boundary of section 2282; thence following the latter road, and the road south of sections 2952 and 3751 westerly to the south-west corner of section 8756; thence south-westerly in a straight line to the north-west corner of section 9177; thence southerly following the western boundary of that section, and south-westerly along the western boundary of sections 8484 to its westernmost corner; thence southerly in a straight line to the westernmost corner of 7024; thence following the Otipua Creek easterly to the north-west corner of section 6859; thence southerly following the western boundary of said section to the south-west corner of section 6858; thence following the southern branch of the Otipua Creek westerly to the road forming the north-western boundary of section 12464; thence following that road south-westerly to its junction with the road forming the northern boundary of section 12461; thence following that road westerly to the north-west corner of section 12461; thence following the western boundary of that section southerly; thence easterly following the road north of and next to Trig station No. 106 to the north-west boundary line of section 8758; thence following the said boundary line of that section south-westerly to the Pig-Hunting Creek; thence following the said creek easterly to the sea, and thence returning following the sea beach to the starting point.
