No. 1381, in red.—All that tract of land, half-a-mile wide, situate in the Ashburton and Timaru districts, extending from the south bank of the Hinds to the south bank of the River Orari, west of and adjoining reserve No. 1371 (in red), save and except the land purchased and finally reserved to date.—For line of railway.
as measured from the River Rakaia, on Reserve No. 1450 (in red), and on the south-west by a line parallel to the north-eastern boundary, and distant therefrom 80 chains. Subject, nevertheless, to the abovementioned Reserve No. 1450 (in red) passing through the above-described land, for which reserve allowance has been made in the acreage.—For railway purposes.
No. 1468, in red.—Ten acres, more or less, situate in the Ashburton district, bounded on the westward and southward by the River Ashburton, on the northward by the road forming the southern boundary of section 5127, and on the eastward by a line at right angles to said road, so as to include the above quantity. The above described land is part of the homestead pre-emptive right on Run No. 54.—For a ferry.
No. 1450, in red.—All that tract of land, three chains wide, the centre line commencing at the intersection of the centre line of the Old Railway Reserve, passing through the Ashburton Township by the northern side of the road forming the northern boundary of section No. 10092; thence north-easterly following a straight line at an angle of 173 deg. 53 min. with said line of Old Railway Reserve a distance of fifteen miles sixty-two chains seventy links; thence northerly following a curve of one mile radius a distance of seventeen chains seventy-six links on the curve; thence following a straight line, being the continuation of the centre line of the railway bridge to the south bank of the Rakaia river. Subject, nevertheless, to reserves Nos. 174 and 264, and also to sections Nos. 5732 and 6123.—For a line of railway.
No. 1466, in red.—One hundred and forty acres (more or less), situate in the Ashburton district, commencing at a point on the north-western boundary of land formerly reserve No. 317 (in red), but now abandoned, the said point being the southernmost corner of section 7130; thence south-westerly following the said north-western boundary a distance of forty chains, and extending south-easterly a distance of forty chains in a rectangular block. Subject, nevertheless, to the South Road, and also to the railway reserve No. 1450 (in red), three chains wide, passing through the above described land, for which road and reserve allowance has been made in the acreage.—For railway purposes.
No. 1467, in red.—Two hundred and ninety-six acres, more or less, situate in the Ashburton district, being part of former Reserve No. 317 (in red), but now abandoned, bounded on the north-west by the north-western boundary of said reserve, on the south-east by the south-eastern boundary of the same reserve, on the north-east by a line at right angles to the north-western boundary, passing through the Eleventh Mile Peg.
No. 1469, in red.—Five acres, more or less, in the Rakaia district, having 5 chains frontage on the South Road, and extending north-westerly at right angles a distance of 10 chains in a rectangular block south-west of and adjoining 9783.—For a gravel pit.
No. 1470, in red.—Five acres, more or less, situate in the Rakaia district, having 5 chains frontage on the road north-east of 10010, and extending south-westerly 10 chains in a rectangular block north-west of and adjoining that section.—For a gravel pit.
No. 1471, in red.—Ten acres, more or less, situate in the Rakaia district, bounded on the north-east by 12494, on the north-west by the road north-west of that section, on the south-east by 10317, and on the south-west by the road south-west of the latter section.—For a gravel pit.
No. 1472, in red.—Five acres, more or less, situate in the Rakaia district, having 5 chains frontage on the road forming the western boundary of 12429, and extending easterly 10 chains in a rectangular block south of and adjoining that section.—For a gravel pit.
No. 1473, in red.—Five acres, more or less, situate in the Rakaia District, bounded on the westward by the continuation of the road running through Reserve 932 (in red), on the north-eastward by the road forming the south-western boundary of said reserve, on the southward by a line at right angles to the western boundary, being 10 chains distant on the average from the north-eastern boundary, and on the eastward by a line 5 chains distant from and parallel to the western boundary.—For a gravel pit.
