No. 1289, in red.—Two hundred and seventy acres (more or less), situate in the Malvern district, bounded on the northward by the river Wakaepa; on the eastward by the said river; on the westward by section 3716; and on the southward by a line parallel to and fifteen chains distant on the average from the northern boundary.—For road, tramway, and other purposes of the Provincial Government.

No. 1316, in red.—All that tract of land three chains wide, the centre line of which commences on the southern bank of the river Waihoa, about twenty-seven chains south-west of trigonometrical station No. 3, and extending in a southerly direction to the northern bank of the river Waitangi, where it is intersected by the eastern side of the Telegraph Reserve 953 (in red), save and except the land purchased and reserved to date.—For the Southern Line of Railway.

No. 1342, in red.—All that tract of land three chains wide, containing by admeasurement eighty acres (more or less), the centre line of which commences at a point on the north-east boundary of section 4973, situate thirty-five-and-a-half chains from the north-eastern corner thereof; thence following a straight line in a northerly direction through the intersection of the Tramway Reserve by the road forming the north-west boundary of section 10819, until it meets the south-west boundary of section No. 7397.—For a line of railway in connection with the Rolleston and Leeston Line.

No. 1371, in red.—All that tract of land one mile wide, the centre line of which commences at the southernmost corner of section No. 4529 on the South Road and Railway Reserve, and runs in a southerly direction until it meets the north-west corner of section No. 3168, situate on the south bank of the Orari river, and more particularly delineated and described on the maps of the Chief Surveyor, setting out and describing the land in the Ashburton and Timaru districts; save and except the land purchased and finally reserved to date.—For a line of railway.

No. 1381, in red.—All that tract of land half-a-mile wide, situate in the Ashburton and Timaru districts, extending from the south bank of the Hinds to the south bank of the river Orari, west of and adjoining Reserve No. 1371 (in red), save and except the land purchased and finally reserved to date.—For a line of railway.

No. 1466, in red.—One hundred and forty acres (more or less), situate in the Ashburton district, commencing at a point on the north-western boundary of land formerly reserve No. 317 (in red), but now abandoned, the said point being the southernmost corner of section 7130; thence south-westerly, following the said north-western boundary a distance of forty chains, and extending south-easterly a distance of forty chains in a rectangular block. Subject, nevertheless, to the South Road, and also to the railway reserve No. 1450 (in red), three chains wide, passing through the above-described land, for which road and reserve allowance has been made in the acreage.—For railway purposes.

No. 1467, in red.—Two hundred and ninety-six acres (more or less), situate in the Ashburton district, being part of former reserve No. 317 (in red), but now abandoned, bounded on the north-west by the north-western boundary of said reserve; on the south-east by the south-eastern boundary of the same reserve; on the north-east by a line at right angles to the north-western boundary, passing through the Eleventh Mile Peg as measured from the river Rakaia, on Reserve No. 1450 (in red), and on the south-west by a line parallel to the north-eastern boundary, and distant therefrom 80 chains. Subject, nevertheless, to the abovementioned Reserve No. 1450 (in red) passing through the above-described land, for which reserve allowance has been made in the acreage.—For railway purposes.

No. 1468, in red.—Ten acres, more or less situate in the Ashburton district, bounded on the westward and southward by the river Ashburton, on the northward by the road forming the southern boundary of section 5127, and on the eastward by a line at right angles to said road, so as to include the above quantity. The above-described land is part of the homestead.
