HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that MONDAY, the 16th instant, being the Anniversary of the Foundation of the Settlement, the Public Offices will be closed on that day.

THE Business of Saddlers’ Ironmonger, and Wholesale Saddler, hitherto carried on by Mr. JOHN SUFFIELD, in the City of Christchurch, has been transferred to Mr. FREDERICK BARKER, now of Christchurch, by whom the same will, in future, be carried on. All debts due in connection with the late business will be paid by Mr. Barker, by whom, also, all accounts will be received.
